I have never been a Non-Fiction buff neither have I been a Historical Fiction buff. But I loved this book. I picked this up fresh after my Delhi-Agra-Jaipur trip and when I was Gung-ho about Mohul History. 

I thought the guides during my tour exaggerated stuff when they narrated some bizarre or saucy anecdotes... but reading the book I realised that I had heard just maybe 10% of the stuff.

The book touches upon the whole Mohul history and not just the Taj Mahal. It was a real eye-opener for me. I could go on and on...

Verdict: A must-read for someone who had visited the 'Golden Triangle' - a must read even otherwise.
